Overview
A beautiful and charming piece of mid-century Americana folk art, this small 7 5/8-inch decorative accent plate features hand-painted Pennsylvania Dutch / Pennsylvania German style floral motifs. The central design showcases a vibrant stylized tulip flanked by leafy green sprigs, beautifully framed by a multi-colored wavy border over a deep matte black ground. This piece was creatively upcycled during the 1940s–1950s toleware revival using a heavy-duty, vintage Wear-Ever Aluminum No. 280 small pie tin/saucer pan. The reverse side features the classic stamped hallmark of the Aluminum Cooking Utensil Co. ("T.A.C.U. Co.") of New Kensington, PA, reading "Wear-Ever Aluminum Trade Mark Made in U.S.A."Dimensions
