A beautiful vintage single bookend featuring a peaceful pastoral sheep scene set within a richly textured gold gilt gesso-style frame. The classic countryside artwork and aged finish give this piece timeless English cottage charm.
Perfect as a replacement bookend or displayed on a bookshelf, mantel, or reading nook as a decorative accent.
Measures approximately 9 inches wide by 5 inches tall, giving it a lovely presence whether used functionally or simply displayed as décor.
The original pastoral sheep scene remains wonderfully evocative, and the piece displays age-related patina and vintage wear that reflect its history and character. There is a small area of age-related loss to the gesso along the front edge, shown in the close-up photograph. It blends naturally with the overall vintage character of the piece and does not affect its display.
A lovely find for collectors of vintage bookends, pastoral artwork, English country décor, and cottage-inspired interiors.
