Pair of 9” Vintage Chinese Porcelain Bisque Figurines of Boy with Goose - Hand-Painted with Incised Artisan and Workshops Marks - Mid-Century 1950-1960
Rare pair of mid-century hand-painted Chinese export figurines of a young boy carrying a goose in a sack (approximately 9” tall). The figurines combine a beautiful mix of glazed porcelain clothing and other details with soft, unglazed bisque skin tones.
Artisan pictograph markings (specialized maker’s mark) and specific workshop stamp details are hand-incised (carved directly into the clay before firing).
Condition: This is a vintage item. Both figurines are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, only minor signs of age and display wear. As noted in the photo, protective felt pads were added later to the base of the figurines.
