Rare Theo Fabergé Columbus Egg, No. 22 of only 750 produced worldwide, from the prestigious St. Petersburg Collection.
Created to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s historic voyage, this spectacular limited-edition egg features rich cobalt-blue crystal with intricate nautical detailing, including anchors, chains, stars and maritime motifs.
The egg opens to reveal its elaborate removable surprise depicting Columbus’s three ships — the Niña, Pinta and Santa Maria — crafted in sterling silver with red enamel crosses, sailing beside an island on a textured gold-tone/vermeil sea.
The egg rests on an impressive clear crystal pedestal with gold-tone trim and is housed in its original fitted Theo Fabergé presentation case.

Condition
Beautiful pre-owned collectible condition. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are an important part of the condition description.
The metal components of the ship surprise show natural age-related toning/tarnish and have intentionally not been polished.
Please note: The rear/interior portion of the gold presentation case has a small area of indentation/impression from the egg resting against it during storage. This is cosmetic to the presentation case and does not affect the egg itself. Please see photographs for the exact condition.
Due to the delicate construction and collectible nature of this piece, it will be packed with exceptional care for shipping.
A remarkable opportunity to acquire a low-number No. 22/750 Theo Fabergé Columbus Egg complete with its original surprise and presentation case.
