This is a Vintage specialized holy papal or pilgrimage piece rather than a stand alone St. Christopher\'s pendent. It depicts Saint Christopher carrying the baby Jesus across a rushing river. The emblem on the back depicts St. Peter\'s Square and Basilica in Vatican City with the architectural colonnades curving outward like open arms around the central Basilica dome The word ITALY is stamped on the bottom. The attached top charm is scalloped and the Italian \"MADONNA DEL ROSARIO DI POMPEI\" translates to \"Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompei\" referencing a deeply revered Marion shrine near Naples, Italy. This is truly a lovely piece.
