Rough Rider RR340, 3-Blade Imitation Abalone Whittler,3-1/2", brand NEW from Old Stock, thus "Rider" instead of"Ryder". Vintage 2005.
This knife has a slightly different combination of blades - for aWhittler.Instead of the customary 3 Clip blades, this modelsubstitutes a Spear (or Pen) blade for one of the smaller blades. Other than that,it closes in the customary Whittler fashion with the larger blade nestledbetween the two smaller blades . . . and the equally unusual split backspringis clearly visible in one picture.The handles hug the frame, and have a natural color variation which isstriking, with no badge/shield to cover any of the handle.
Never used, never sharpened, never carried, gently cleaned.
No rust, tarnish, pits, handle gaps, or cracked/chipped handles.
Blades have arced match strike pulls, are tight, move stiffly with the strong springs, but are thumbnail manageable. They close with a distinctive snap, yet nestle squarely in their groove. They are sharp with their factory edges.The current inventory has the simple "TESTED_RR_SHARP" anvil logo etched on the main Clip blade.
Slotted/grooved nickel silver bolsters.
Original tan box, in good condition, will be included.
