You are viewing a totally restored PHILCOAM Broadcast wood cabinet table radio from 1951. This radio sethas been restored to it's original condition and is ready to bring anotherlifetime's listening pleasure to it's proud new owner. You will be satisfiedwith this radio set because no detail inside OR outside has been overlooked inorder to deliver both "dependable performance" and appealingcabinetry. Every effort has been made to offer a practically new radio,performing as it did originally, and to be maintenance free for quite some time.
The embossed wood cabinet is in excellent condition withoutany cracks or patch job repairs and has been overvarnished using linseed oil to impart a soft shine. This model measures 12" X 7" X 8"high. The radio back exhibiting the PHILCO logo is original. A thorough cleanjob. Check out all the photos.
The electronics inside the chassis have been totallyoverhauled. That includes: new dial string and power cord, power supplycompletely replaced, and replacing all the old wax capacitors. The plastic dial cover is also new. This radiouses5 tubes. All5 tubes are "New Old Stock" and the diallight bulb (type No.755) isnew and rated at 20,000 hours. And yes, theradio plays like a charm !
Following the restoration, all radio circuitswere re-tuned to their specification using instrumentation. The end result isan old fashioned tube radio giving excellent reception across the dial.
