This is a wonderful Robert Hanke Austrian Royal Wettina hand painted Vase. The pale cream colored matte background surrounds flowers and leaves with gold embellishments. It bears the maker mark of a crown over “RH” Robert Hanke owned one of the first pottery factories in the Teplice area. Townwarenfabrik Robert Hanke was founded in 1882 in Ledvice and produced various luxury vases, pitchers, and porcelain objects. Bohemia was at that time part of Austria, hence the company being registered as “Robert Hanke, Austria.” This is a true piece of history and a great collector’s piece.
