* Housed in its original geometric scalloped brass mat with the original protective glass cover intact.
* Case Structure: Complete 2-piece case, though the leather/paper spine hinge has completely separated over time. Both the bottom image tray and the matching front cover door are included.
* Exterior Design: The exterior of the case features an extraordinarily crisp, deeply embossed 1850s geometric motif depicting a classical urn basket filled with flowers, topped with wheat sheaves, and framed within an elegant laurel wreath.**Condition:**
The plate retains solid clarity and strong detail in the clothing and lace. Normal, light peripheral tarnish/solarization is present along the outer edges under the mat, which is standard for an uncleaned 170+ year old photograph. The brass mat shows typical aged patina. The case pieces are completely detached at the spine but structurally solid with minor edge and corner rubbing consistent with age. Both pieces display beautifully.**Shipping:**
