National Old Trails Road guide sign—Cool Springs, Arizona.
Up for sale today is this National Old Trails Road red, white and blue guide sign. Made to the exact standards as used between 1922 and 1928 by the Auto Club of Southern California. This guide sign was posted on what later became Route 66 at Cool Springs on the east side of Sitgreaves Pass, and references Kingman and Seligman going east, and Oatman and Needles going west.
The original of these, complete with the ACSC logo, would be worth many thousands of dollars, if it even survives at all. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without breaking the bank...or making use of a time machine.
The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 7 lb. 11 oz., and is 20 by 15 inches, measured along the edges. If you would like a different size, please do not hesitate to inquire.
This is a high quality, heavy steel, non-reflective sign, printed with great gloss to accurately replicate the look of the porcelain enamel of the original. It is perfect for indoor or outdoor display. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality.
