truly amazing antique scrapbook with cut outs telling a story, estimated from early 1900s
What a treasure trove!
Book is handmade with carefully cut and pasted scraps. Most appear to be from old magazines.
The scraps tell a story from birth to old age. Handwritten captions are scattered throughout telling the story.
There are 19 pages with front/back content - 37 filled pages. Measures approximately 9 by 11 inches.
VERY FRAGILE! Brittle, yellow pages. Edge wear and damage to edges of many pages. Some are torn. I believe it was once bound, but pages are now loose. Please see photos for full condition details. I tried to show as many pages as possible to give a sample. Happy to provide more photos on request. Sold as is/as found.
I acquired it in southern Indiana. The city of Vincennes is mentioned at one point. Otherwise not sure on the history.
Truly a unique and fabulous peice of history!
