$72.95

Dimensions: 8x11.25Original Rare c. 1845 Park-Street M.E. Church Dedication Service Broadside - Worcester, MassachusettsUp for sale is a exceptionally scarce piece of early New England religious and printing ephemera. This authentic single-sheet broadside details the \"Order of Services at the Dedication of the Park-Street M. E. [Methodist Episcopal] Church\" in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Issued during the mid-1840s, this survival program features an elaborate, highly detailed decorative typography border. The broadside prints the complete text and lyrics for the day\'s opening Anthem, Consecration Hymn, Scripture arrangements, and closing Benediction.
Historical & Printing Provenance:This broadside was produced by the short-lived Worcester firm of Estey & Evans, featuring their imprint at the bottom right corner (\"Gazette Office: Estey & Evans, Printers\"). Historical records show that James L. Estey and David C. Evans ran the anti-slavery weekly Worcester County Gazette and its associated job printing office for a brief two-year period beginning in August 1845 before the partnership dissolved. This context safely and precisely dates this highly regional document to circa 1845-1846.
Item Specifications:- Era/Year: Circa 1845 - 1846- Location: Worcester, Massachusetts- Subject: Park-Street Methodist Episcopal Church Dedication Service- Printer: Estey & Evans (Gazette Office)- Format: Single-Sided Historic Typography Broadside
Condition Report:Good historical condition overall. The broadside displays authentic mid-19th-century paper toning and a light horizontal center fold line from past storage. The edges show minor wear and minor handling creases consistent with age, but the sheet remains strong. The text, complex decorative border elements, and printer imprint are dark, bold, fully legible, and excellent for display or archival framing. The reverse side is blank. Please inspect all provided high-resolution photographs closely to independently evaluate condition details before purchasing.
Item will be professionally packaged and shipped completely flat in a rigid mailer to preserve its historical integrity. Please reach out with any questions.
