Letter from George Wells to William Tilghman, Esq. who was to become the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania...He was also a delegate to the Maryland State Convention and a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1788 - 1790, and the Maryland Senate from 1791 -1793.
Old laid paper with watermarks is darkened and stained, lovely dramatic hand, much flair from Wells. Document opens up, blank inside, more writing on rear and a hole at rear with a wax seal missing.
More intriguing early Baltimore manuscripts posted at this time, including a couple of others concerning George Wells. If more than one bought - only one shipping fee.
