This is an authentic 1800s patent medicine bottle, embossed:
“Dr. H.F. Peery’s Dead Shot Vermifuge”
Hand-blown aqua glass with natural age haze & mineral patina
Unusual factory warp error in the glass (see photos with ruler for scale)
Approx. late 19th century (1870s–1890s)
Provenance: personally found during a dive ~30 years ago and kept in private collection since
These bottles were marketed in the 1800s as worm medicine, part of the “patent medicine” era. This example is especially collectible for its warp error, rarity, and embossed lettering.
A unique piece of medical history and a great addition to any antique bottle, apothecary, or oddities collection.
