This is an original production script cover for the hit television series Xena: Warrior Princess.
Episode Overview
The script is for "Looking Death in the Eye," which aired during the show's fifth season.
• Episode Placement: While the cover prints it as "episode 18," it ultimately broadcasted as Season 5, Episode 19. (The preceding episode, "Antony & Cleopatra," was produced as episode 19 but aired as episode 18).
• Plot Summary: The narrative serves as a massive turning point for the series. It is framed around an older Joxer reading Gabrielle’s final scroll to his children. In the flashback, Xena and Gabrielle pull off an elaborate heist-style scheme to capture Celesta (the Goddess of Death) and fake their own demises to save baby Eve from the Olympian gods. The episode famously ends with a 25-year time jump.
