Weems & Plath Brass Barometer & Comfortmeter Set - Untested Parts/Repair
Condition: Both instruments are untested and are being sold as-is for parts or repair. Functionality and accuracy have not been verified. The cases show surface scratches, tarnish, scattered dark spots, and areas of finish wear, particularly around the rims. The barometer’s center adjustment knob also shows discoloration. Description:
For sale is a set of two Weems & Plath nautical-style instruments: a barometer and a comfortmeter. Both feature round brass cases, white dials, black markings, and mounting holes around the rear flange.
- Barometer: Features atmospheric pressure scales, “Rain,” “Change,” and “Fair” labels, a black indicator hand, and a gold-tone reference pointer with a center adjustment knob.
- Comfortmeter: Combines a thermometer with Fahrenheit and Celsius scales and a hygrometer with a relative humidity percentage scale. The dial includes a marked “comfort” zone.
Both dials bear the Weems & Plath name and “Made in Germany,” while the backs are marked “Made in W.-Germany.”
Includes both instruments shown. Mounting screws are not included. Sold as-is for parts/repair; working condition is unknown.
