An authentic WWII-pattern American military knife featuring the desirable Robeson ShurEdge maker’s mark and U.S.N. military marking on opposite sides of the blade ricasso.
Manufactured by Robeson Cutlery during the World War II era, approximately 1943–1945, this No. 20 pattern was among the fixed-blade knives associated with U.S. Navy personnel, including Seabees and other naval service members.

CONSTRUCTION & HISTORICAL INTEREST:
The Robeson ShurEdge No. 20 is a recognizable example of WWII American military cutlery, distinguished by its substantial fixed blade, stacked leather handle and characteristic rounded wooden pommel.
The handle exhibits the traditional construction of closely fitted leather washers, creating a comfortable textured grip. The wooden pommel retains visible grain and age-related character, with a metal attachment visible at its center.
The blade features a broad profile with a curved cutting edge and sharply angled clip point. Both the Robeson ShurEdge No. 20 marking and the U.S.N. military marking remain clearly legible.
An interesting piece for collectors of WWII militaria, U.S. Navy artifacts, Seabee equipment and historic American-made cutlery.
CONDITION:
Vintage military collectible in used condition.
The stacked grip exhibits considerable surface wear, darkening, scuffs and age-related texture, although the individual washers remain visibly defined.
The wooden pommel has scratches, discoloration, surface wear and aged patina. A circular metal attachment is visible on the underside of the pommel.
The metal crossguard shows surface scratches, discoloration and handling wear.
The included brown leather sheath has a snap-closure retaining strap, white stitching and riveted construction. It shows surface marks and handling.
An appealing example of an American WWII-era U.S. Navy Mark 1 knife from the Robeson ShurEdge line, retaining the distinctive military markings and traditional leather-and-wood handle construction.
