Seven-pocket cloth bandoliers, probably German manufacture, ca. Spanish Civil War - WWII.
Well-made, high-quality military ammo carriers. Made on the same pattern but with a few slightly different textiles.
Mostly blued steel two-piece buttons with blued buckles. A few brass bat-wing type buckles as well. Several buckles are marked "Solide."One bandolier is marked "1936."
Very good condition, showing signs of field service. I think ersatz bandoliers for partisans or militia. Unusual piece of equipment to have because they were intended to be disposable. Provides a fascinating study of 20th C. military textiles.
