Zenith dial: extensively and apparently intentionally altered. Possible post-1948 removal of Western/identifying features during the persecution of former RAF personnel. Historical possibility only – not proven for this watch.
Both watches independently carry “V.L.” markings. Significant within this grouping, but personal ownership by Ladislav Valoušek cannot be conclusively proven.
Complete grouping acquired together from a Czech collector’s estate.
Rare historical grouping connecting Valoušek’s RAF/Spitfire service with his later La-5FN service on the Eastern Front.
