Up for sale is a verified battlefield souvenir lot from the Pacific Theater, featuring two pieces of Japanese field correspondence processed by US Military Intelligence, along with a period Japanese Atlas. Both postcards bear the rare and highly collectible stamp: "EXAMINED IN THE FIELD / PASSED BY JOINT INTELLIGENCE."
The postcards are written in Japanese by the former owner of the Atlas. This Atlas was brought home by a US service member returning from the Pacific theater.
The binding is broken as seen in the picture due to the fact that it was used in the field and had quite a journey to return back to the states.
