Print is 17 in x 23 inch Preowned print in excellent condition. slight crease on one corner. Please enlarge photos as part of the description. Print is frame worthy. This is one of several prints I will be adding today, all from the USAF Art Collection - Most from the 1970\'s and 80s though the images themselves date back to WW1. I will be happy to combine shipping.

Artist Depicts Then Colonel Doolittle And His 16 B-25 Aircraft On April 18, 1942, Off From The Deck Of The Aircraft Carrier, USS Hornet (CV-8). A Feat Almost Unheard Of At That Time, They Flew Five Hours To Surprise The Japanese, Dropping 16 Tons Of Bombs On Tokyo And Other Cities And Then Headed For China. One Aircraft Landed In Russia, Where The Aircrew Was Interned For A Year. The Other 15 Aircraft Crashed Into The Mountains Or The China Sea. Two Aircrews Were Captured By The Japanese And Eight Aircrew Members Died In The Crashes Of Their Aircraft. The Rest Of The Aircraft Eventually Made It To Safety. The Doolittle Raid Was A Success.
