Original WWI-era linen-backed map of the U.S. Military Reservation at Fort Riley, Kansas. Produced under the direction of Colonel Geo. H. Cameron, Cavalry. Marked “War Department” in the upper left-hand corner and “Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army” in the right-hand corner. Measures 29.5 × 24 inches, folds flat into a 6 × 4-inch rectangle for portability. The name of WWI officer Major H.W. Baird is written on the reverse, adding provenance and historical significance.
