gorgeous, heavy vintage mid-century solid cast brass square coin ashtray / catchall dish. This striking piece features a textured background embedded with detailed replicas of historic coins and medallion inserts along the interior and exterior walls. You can beautifully make out historic profiles, including Napoleon Bonaparte and Queen Elizabeth II.
Originally designed as a substantial cigar or cigarette ashtray during the mid-20th century, this versatile piece makes an incredible statement item for modern homes. It is perfect to repurpose as a gentleman’s valet tray, entryway key catchall, desk organizer, or decorative coffee table accent.
Condition & Patina Note:
• Excellent Vintage Condition: This piece is structurally sound, incredibly heavy, and free of cracks or major dents.
• Authentic Aged Patina: It features a stunning, rich natural patina with gorgeous oxidation and dark, moody character marks built up over decades. We have deliberately left it unpolished to preserve its historic integrity and vintage charm. However, if a bright, reflective look is preferred, it can easily be shined up with standard brass cleaner.
