Vintage 1950s Friedrich Mauthe zodiac wall clock measures approx. 9" across overall.
DOES NOT KEEP TIME AFTER WINDING.

Well made and nicely designed with a one piece machined brass outer circle with the zodiac symbols.The clock face is medium chocolate brown and fades to gray/black at the edge. The clock hangs from a trefoil shaped wall bracket. (Bracket screw unavailable)
Under the convex glass cover is another one piece machined brass circle making up the numbers.
The model "Atlanta", "7 Jewels", and "Made In Germany" are stamped brass and affixed to the clock face.
The brass is in nice condition, no rust or pitting.

The last time a similar F. Mauthe Zodiac wall clock came up for sale, it sold for much more than our listed price. That clock had a blue face and had been retrofitted with a quartz battery operated mechanism. This clock has not been modified and is in need of repair to keep time.
