This exceptional two-piece vanity container features a beautifully crafted "Pierrette" or female Pierrot theatrical clown figure. She is adorned in a classic ruffled white neck ruff/collar, a matching green clown hat with a black pom-pom accent, and prominent black pom-pom buttons down her front. Her elegant tiered, ruffled skirt forms the body of the dresser jar, beautifully rendered in a soft matte olive green glaze. The piece is accented with delicate, applied hand-painted pink porcelain roses along the skirt tiers. The underside of the lid piece is clearly incised with a mold number (looks like 175) and explicitly stamped "Germany". Condition: This antique/vintage piece is in excellent condition! There are no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The delicate facial painting is clean and crisp, and the applied porcelain roses are beautifully intact.
