Feels like a textured, possibly raw silk. No materials tag. Image is handpainted with textured paint.

Condition: True Vintage. Shows wear. Minor pin holes (photographed). Age-related discoloration is visible beneath the painted design; please see photos.

Size: 55" x 3.25" (widest point)

Motiff: Japanese/Asian-inspired figure playing a stringed instrument, surrounded by stylized Hawaiian/tropical imagery. This combination is very characteristic of the way Hawaii's tourism culture incorporated Japanese and Polynesian imagery into souvenir art during the mid-20th century.

Dating: Estimated circa 1950s, based on the construction, label, silk fabric, proportions, and hand-painted mid-century Hawaiian design. Exact production date unknown.
