Vintage Maine Landscape Photography Lot – E. A. Marsh, New York City
Group of vintage Maine landscape photographs by E. A. Marsh, a New York City–based photographer, dating to the early–mid 20th century.
This lot features original gelatin silver prints depicting coastal and rural Maine scenes, including locations such as Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, Pemaquid Point, Pratt Island, and surrounding shoreline and woodland views. Several photographs retain handwritten or typed location labels; others are unlabeled but clearly consistent in style, period, and authorship.
Most photographs are mounted on original period mats, with several examples now loose or partially separated due to age. All original mats are included, even where separation has occurred.
The photographic images themselves remain in very good condition for age, with strong tonal range, good contrast, and clear detail. These are original works, not reproductions.
