Charming vintage Made in Japan ceramic bonnet girl figurine, dating to approximately the 1950s/mid-century era.
This wonderfully kitschy figurine features a girl in an oversized pink bonnet and full ruffled dress covered in distinctive raised spiral/swirl detailing. She has orange-red hair, hand-painted facial features and eyelashes, red lips, and holds a dimensional flower.
The combination of the exaggerated bonnet, bubblegum-pink coloring and unusual molded spiral dress gives her a fantastic mid-century Japanese kitsch look.
Original JAPAN paper label remains attached to the underside. No manufacturer’s mark is present, so the maker is unknown.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear. There is visible paint loss/chipping to some of the hand-painted details, particularly around the face, bonnet bow and flower. No major structural damage noted from inspection. Please examine all photos closely for condition.
