Matched pair of vintage pink flamingo figurines by Will-George of Pasadena, California, circa 1940s-50s. One stands upright and measures 10\" tall. The other is in the head-down feeding pose and measures 6.5\" tall. Both sit on teal green bases with a glossy, vibrant glaze.
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs to the birds or bases. The unglazed foot rings show the normal speckling expected of vintage pottery.
Marks and provenance: Both bottoms carry the Will-George mark. They also carry the original owner’s handwritten marker inscription, “To: Jonathan 1.29.85,” which she wrote on her belongings to label them for her heirs; the date is when she wrote it. The writing is only on the glazed undersides and does not affect the figurines’ appearance. Owned by one family See photos of the bottoms.
