The liner suspension/strap is marked “S.M.C. – 1945”, dating the liner to the World War II era.The helmet has two particularly interesting late 40s/early 50s vintage decals: a University of Oregon decal and a “Keep Oregon Green” decal.Helmet shows substantial age, wear, oxidation, scratches, paint loss and general patina consistent with an old military helmet.
