Original vintage U.S. Marine Corps service stripe insignia — matched pair for the left and right sleeves.
These traditional Marine Corps service stripes, commonly called \"hash marks,\" feature olive/green embroidery on scarlet cloth and were worn on the Marine Corps green service coat.
Each service stripe represents four years of qualifying service. A matching stripe was worn on each sleeve, so this pair represents one four-year service stripe award.
This pair features older-style cut-edge construction with scarlet cloth, olive-green embroidery and white embroidery stabilizer visible on the reverse.
