Overview: Vintage US Army M1 helmet liner with a black painted exterior. It has the original style khaki web suspension, metal clips and brackets, and the chinstrap loops on the sides. A solid collector's piece for military history fans, reenactors, or display. It is the liner only, no steel helmet shell is included.
Condition & Flaws: Used with honest age and wear. The black paint has scratches, scuffs, dust and small paint losses across the outside. Rust and corrosion is visible on the metal rim band in a few spots along the edge, and there is some rim wear on the lower edge. The inside shows grime and staining. The webbing is dirty and the chinstrap and nape strap are frayed, with torn and fraying ends near the buckle. The suspension is intact but is aged and not suitable for wear. I did not see any cracks, but please look over all the photos, because I could not identify a maker's mark or date.
What's Included: The helmet liner with its suspension and chinstrap as shown in the photos. No steel pot and no insignia.
