A distinctive vintage Japanese lacquerware piece crafted in the style of Tsugaru-nuri. This wooden box is finished using the traditional kara-nuri technique, known for its richly layered, abstract patterns created through multiple coats of colored lacquer and careful polishing. The result is a vibrant, textured surface with depth and visual complexity unique to Tsugaru lacquer.
Designed with both function and versatility in mind, the box can be used to store a complete set of tea ceremony utensils, while the lid doubles as a serving tray. The combination of storage and presentation reflects the thoughtful practicality found in Japanese craftsmanship.
With its bold decorative style and enduring construction, this piece is both a functional storage solution and an eye-catching display item—ideal for collectors of Japanese lacquerware or those seeking a unique cultural accent.Size:Dia: 32 cmHeight: 10.5 cm
