Vintage Tohono O’odham Style Coiled Basket 9” Cameron Trading Post Arizona.
The weaving is exceptionally tight and detailed, measuring approximately 56 stitches per square inch. The dark material appears consistent with the traditional devil’s claw often used in Southwestern basketry, contrasted against lighter natural plant fibers.
This shallow form works beautifully as a display basket, wall piece, or centerpiece and has a wonderfully graphic geometric appearance.
