Striking pair of ceramic tiger figurines. Designed in the tradition of Staffordshire-style mantel animals, this matched pair of seated tigers offers a distinctive Japanese interpretation of the classic decorative animal pair each featuring a seated tiger with an orange crackle-glaze finish, bold black stripes and expressive hand-finished details. Both rest on coordinating deep green rectangular pedestal bases accented with gold-tone trim. No chips or cracks to note. The underside retains the original Takahashi® San Francisco / Made in Japan labels. One tiger also retains its original Saks Fifth Avenue retail label showing a $95.00 original retail price. A rare find and specifically as a pair. These make an especially handsome matched pair for a Chinoiserie, Asian-inspired, traditional, Grandmillennial or eclectic interior and display beautifully together on a console, mantel, bookshelf or bar.Dimensions — each tiger:* Height: 7 3/8 in
