Vintage Supreme battery-operated lantern featuring a clear glass globe, metal wire handle, metal base and original internal battery compartment.
This is a great old utilitarian lantern with lots of authentic age and character. The metal housing is marked SUPREME, with U.S.A. and WARSAW markings visible on the base.
The battery compartment opens from the underside and retains its original printed operating instructions. Those instructions specify use of a:
Standard Mazda Bulb No. 17 – 3.8 Volts
and refer to the original batteries as “unit cells.”
The internal compartment, battery contacts and wiring are still present. Due to the age of the lantern and visible oxidation/deterioration to the internal components, we have not attempted to power it. It is being offered as a vintage collectible, restoration project or display piece.

Condition
Shows substantial authentic vintage wear including surface rust, oxidation, scratches, discoloration, dust and general age-related wear.
The glass globe appears intact. Interior battery contacts and wiring show oxidation and age. The original instruction panel remains surprisingly legible.
Untested electrically.
No batteries are included.
