Vintage Stratford Vellum Boxed Stationery Lot 1960 Wedding Invitation Samples | Ephemera Junk Journal
---
Product Description:
A genuine piece of American paper history—a complete vintage Stratford Vellum stationery box set from circa 1960, including original sample wedding invitations, blank vellum card stock, and matching envelopes, all in their original textured presentation box. The kind of find that paper collectors, junk journal enthusiasts, and vintage wedding decor lovers actively search for.Stratford Vellum was a quality American stationery brand that produced fine vellum-finish paper goods during the mid-twentieth century — the era when formal correspondence, wedding invitations, and social announcements were taken seriously as an art form. The paper quality, the texture, and the presentation of this set reflect the craftsmanship standards of that period in a way that modern stationery simply doesn't replicate. The sample wedding invitation inside is dated November 19, 1960, originating from Indian Head, Maryland — a genuine time capsule document that adds historical character and authenticity to the set. Whether you're using this for a junk journal project, incorporating it into vintage wedding decor, adding it to a paper ephemera collection, or simply appreciating it as a beautiful artifact from a more formal era of American social life, this set delivers on every level. The outer paper bands and box edges show light age-related foxing and browning consistent with 60-plus years of storage — honest patina that confirms the authenticity of the piece rather than detracting from it.
