Unusual vintage handmade Catholic devotional bottle shrine / bottle whimsey featuring St. Anthony of Padua and the Nativity.

This fascinating folk-art piece was constructed inside a green-tinted glass bottle measuring approximately 13\" tall and just under 4\" wide at the shoulder.

One side features a devotional image of St. Anthony of Padua holding the Christ Child, while the opposite side depicts a Nativity scene with Mary, Joseph, the infant Jesus and shepherd imagery.

The interior shrine is elaborately decorated with colorful geometric designs, small fiber/floral decorations and miniature clear light bulbs. Electrical wires extend through the cork/stopper at the neck of the bottle. The previous owner referred to the piece as a \"Saint Anthony in a bottle lamp.\"

The electrical components have NOT been tested. Due to the unknown age, voltage and condition of the wiring and bulbs, we have made no attempt to power the lights. It is being sold strictly as an untested vintage decorative/collectible item. Please do not connect the wires directly to household current.

The bottle has a molded marking on the bottom that appears to read \"AVA.\" Maker, exact age and geographic origin of the completed folk-art piece are unknown.

Condition:

Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related dust, discoloration, wear and deterioration to some of the interior materials. There is visible age and oxidation/soiling within the display. Wiring is old and untested. Please examine all photographs closely as they are an important part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
