DESCRIPTIONRARE COLORFUL POSTMODERN MEMPHIS-STYLE HALOGEN DESK LAMPAttributed to Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs | 1980s Design | Sculptural Geometric LightingAn extraordinary vintage postmodern table lamp with a bold architectural silhouette, playful geometric forms, and striking saturated color. This distinctive lighting design features a vivid red stepped base and tiered upper housing, two slender turquoise columns with bright yellow collars, and an elongated horizontal aqua-tinted glass element accented by a dark perforated metal band. The dramatic combination of vivid red, yellow, turquoise, glass, and dark metal creates an unmistakably Memphis-inspired aesthetic associated with the innovative postmodern lighting designs of the 1980s.The lamp has a sculptural, almost futuristic appearance, combining functional illumination with the visual presence of a small piece of modern art.The form closely resembles documented Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs postmodern halogen banker-style lamps. However, a maker’s mark has not yet been verified on this particular example, so the attribution is offered as a design comparison rather than a definitive authentication.FEATURES & HIGHLIGHTS* Unusual colorful Memphis-inspired postmodern design
