A striking vintage Renaissance Faire fantasy necklace featuring a large sword/dagger pendant with an ornate silver-tone hilt, clear faceted blade and deep purple cabochon-style accent.
The sword measures approximately 3½ inches long overall and hangs from an approximately 24-inch silver-tone chain with spring-ring clasp.
This piece dates from the original owner\'s Renaissance Faire collection and is well over 20 years old. The exact age, maker and materials are unknown. The clear blade has not been identified as quartz or another natural stone, so it is described simply as a clear faceted material. Likewise, the purple accent has not been gemologically tested.
No 925 or sterling mark was found on the pendant. There are small indistinct markings near the clasp, but they are not sufficiently legible to identify a maker or metal content.
A wonderfully dramatic piece for Renaissance Faire wear, medieval or fantasy costuming, sword collectors, or anyone who appreciates unusual vintage jewelry.
