This is a vintage Redipoint mechanical pencil, made in the USA, featuring advertising for Colonial Federal Savings and Loan Assn. located at 1326 Walnut St., Philadelphia 7, PA. The phone number uses the old exchange format (Kingsley 5-1860), which dates this piece to the 1940s–1950s era.
• Maker: Redipoint (clip marked “Made in USA”)
• Material: Marbled yellow celluloid with black ends and metal trim
• Size: Approximately 5 inches long
• Condition: Good vintage condition for its age. Some surface wear and patina from normal use. Mechanism extends lead as expected (see close-up photos). Advertising text is still legible.
These old promotional pencils were commonly given out by banks and businesses, but most were discarded after use. Surviving examples like this one, especially with full business advertising intact, are collectible today.
Perfect for collectors of vintage advertising, banking memorabilia, Philadelphia history, or antique writing instruments.
