This is a vintage pre‑1960 Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger Carl Yastrzemski bat, and if it could talk, it would absolutely complain about being overshadowed by its two more “dramatic” siblings.

While the other bats in this collection were out there getting nailed back together, wrapped in grip tape, this 27\" #7 model lived a quieter life. No nails. No battlefield surgery. No post‑apocalyptic glow‑up. Just pure, honest, dependable wood doing its job like a responsible citizen.

And yet… you can feel the jealousy.

For nearly 70 years, this bat sat there watching its cousins become legends — one getting reinforced like a zombie‑fighting relic, both practically bragging about being Lucille’s spiritual ancestor. Meanwhile, this one stayed intact, behaved itself, and somehow got labeled “the normal one.” You know that stings.

But here’s the twist:Because it wasn’t nailed, taped, cracked, or Frankensteined back to life, this bat aged better than all of them. It’s solid, clean, and still has that “I could absolutely hit something today” energy — if it weren’t such a unique collectible.

This is your chance to adopt the overlooked younger sibling of the family. The one who didn’t get the Hollywood role, but absolutely deserved a spot in the game room decades ago.

(Satire disclaimer: No, there is no 23 Termites & Me DNA test confirming this bat is related to Lucille. But if a Cherry Springwood talk show wants to stir up drama between the siblings, we’ll bring popcorn.)
