📐 Design Profiles
- Front Cover: Classic deep blue energy background highlighting the iconic big three era starters: a roaring Base Set Charizard, a hydro-cannon deploying Blastoise, and an electric-charged Pikachu flanked by five elemental energy symbols.
- Back Cover: Features a forest scene highlighting Venusaur alongside the official Wizards of the Coast corporate crest and original barcode data panel.
🔍 Condition & Flaw Disclosure
- Important Buyer Note: I prioritize full grading clarity. Please thoroughly check all provided high-resolution photos and utilize the magnification zoom feature to verify my exact condition findings below.
- Overall Exterior Condition: Pre-owned / Vintage Used. Shows clear evidence of honest schoolyard handling wear, grading out as a solid filler or nostalgic player specimen.
- Vinyl Seam Separation: There are multiple areas along the outer perimeter tracks where the transparent outer vinyl overlay seam has separated and pulled loose from the internal black structural backing board. While the plastic layer is entirely present with no chunks, fragments, or sections missing, it is loose to the touch along the borders as shown in the close-up profile captures.
- Spine & Structure: The structural spine edge remains remarkably tight, firm, and fully cohesive. The binder holds its form beautifully when handled and is not structurally warped or collapsed.
- Interior Pages: Includes all 12 original factory-bound clear card sheets. Only the very first page displays a wrinkled texture from vintage handling. Crucially, the remaining 11 pages are completely smooth, unwrinkled, uncreased, and entirely unused—providing pristine pocket clarity to safely store and display your cards.
📦 Shipping & Handling
- Protection: Packaged flat inside a sturdy shipping box with protective buffering layout sheets to ensure the loose vinyl seams do not suffer additional friction stress or tearing during transit.
- Handling: Packaged with collector-grade care and dispatched quickly via tracked shipping.
🃏 Special Collector\'s Note
Massive Vintage Collection Sale: I am currently sorting through and selling off my personal collection of thousands of pieces of vintage Pokémon memorabilia exclusively from the classic golden eras. This 1999 WotC 4-pocket portfolio is a fundamental cornerstone piece of original 90s nostalgia. While the exterior shows the classic battle scars of real 1999 playground use, its structural tightness and fully functional internal sheets make it a great vintage binder to hold a classic Base, Jungle, or Fossil set display. Be sure to check my other listings and follow my store as I continue to list more rare gems from this legendary era.
