ARP HOT STAMP
The chips feature a distinctive gold ARP monogram.
I have not been able to establish what the initials originally stood for. They may represent the initials of the original owner, club, organization, or purchaser.
I am not representing ARP as a manufacturer or casino name.
PEDRO MFG. CASE
The chips are housed in a vintage hard-sided carrying case marked:
Pedro Mfg.
St. Paul, Minnesota
The case has a fitted interior designed to hold the poker chips and is included with the complete set.
The case itself shows normal signs of age and previous use.
CONDITION
The chips are in good vintage/pre-owned condition and are being sold in their original, as-acquired condition.
I have not cleaned, polished, or chemically treated the chips. No cleaning products, abrasives, or other treatments have been used by me. I have left the chips in their original condition rather than attempting to remove surface dirt or signs of age.
The chips show signs of age and previous use, including minor surface marks, edge wear and varying degrees of wear to the gold hot stamping. The molded Top Hat & Cane design remains clearly visible.
The carrying case is also vintage and shows cosmetic wear consistent with its age and previous use.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
IDENTIFICATION / AGE
These chips appear consistent with vintage Paulson Top Hat & Cane Short Cane Version (SCV) chips.
Top Hat & Cane chips have a long production history, and similar-looking examples exist from different periods and manufacturers. Because I do not have original purchase documentation or provenance for this particular set, I am not claiming a specific manufacturing year, casino provenance, or original owner.
The ARP monogram has not been definitively identified.
COMPLETE SET
The sale includes:
391 vintage Top Hat & Cane poker chips PLUS the vintage Pedro Mfg. carrying case.
The complete collection is being sold as one set and is not being separated by denomination.
This is an unusual vintage group because of the combination of the Top Hat & Cane SCV mold, custom ARP hot stamp, four denominations, and original fitted carrying case.
Please review all photographs carefully. The photographs are part of the description and show the actual chips and case being sold.
You will receive the exact set shown in the photographs.
