Up for sale is an incredible piece of authentic turnaround-of-the-century Industrial Americana.
Original 9" x 10" brass (or high-copper content) advertising nameplate sign from the One Minute Washer Company out of Newton, Iowa, dating to 1901 to 1915. This was for the One Minute No. 3, Hand Cranked Washing Machine.
These premium, metal plates were built to survive the extreme heat, steam, and harsh lye soaps of early commercial and luxury washing machines.
The plate features gorgeous embossed graphics including a massive stylized numeral "3", the iconic scrolling banner reading "ONE MINUTE WASHER," and the lower manufacturing text reading "MFG. CO. NEWTON, IA U.S.A."
Condition Details & Patina:Material:Metal plate. Magnet tested (non-ferrous brass/copper alloy).Surface Condition: Found in "as-is" barn-fresh condition.
