Vintage Native American Sterling Silver Overlay Man In Maze Squash Blossom Concho Necklace
This necklace weighs 103.3 grams. The largest concho is 2\" wide, the others measure 1 1/2\", 1 1/4\", 1\", and 3/4\"This necklace is 24\" long. Because it isn\'t stamped, I took it to a gold and silver exchange and they confirmed with their gun that it is sterling silver. Both beads and conchos were tested.
Condition: See pictures. This piece was recently restrung. I caught it and broke it approximatley15 years ago, stuck it in a drawer to restring one day, and just recently found it again. All similar necklaces I\'ve found date this from the 70\'s.
This is a beautiful Native American piece in the Hopi overlay style. I do not know who the artist is as it doesn\'t have any hallmarks. Each concho shows traditional symbols of both the Hopi and the Pima.
