Offered together is this attractive pair of vintage automobile display models, including a large handcrafted wooden roadster and a highly detailed 1912 Ford Model T-style fire engine.
The wooden roadster features beautiful contrasting wood tones with carved fenders and bodywork, wooden spoke-style wheels with dark tires, side-mounted spare tire, steering wheel, windshield, headlights and brass-tone detailing. It has the classic appearance of a 1920s–1930s luxury touring/roadster automobile. No maker's mark has been identified.
The 1912 Ford fire engine is a detailed metal collector/display model featuring a red painted body, spoked wheels with white tires, ladders, hose reel with fabric hose, black seat, steering wheelheadlights and numerous brass/chrome-tone fittings. The underside is especially detailed, with a simulated engine, drivetrain, differential, suspension/steering components and exhaust. The front displays a Ford-style radiator emblem and a 1912 plate.
The fire engine has some paint loss, scratches and general age/use wear, particularly around the hood/engine area. The wooden automobile also shows normal signs of age and display. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
Both pieces are being sold together as one lot.Maker and exact age are unknown. These are being offered as vintage decorative/collector models based upon their appearance and construction. No boxes or additional accessories are included unless pictured.
