This set includes the original vintage Scripto lead sleeve and replacement erasers. Please read the full details below regarding component mismatch and technical lead compatibility! What’s Included & Component Details:
- The Pencil: An authentic, all-metal Wahl Eversharp "Gold Filled" mechanical pencil featuring a continuous twist mechanism. The crown is clearly engraved with "WAHL EVERSHARP GOLD FILLED MADE IN U.S.A.". It features an elegant pattern and includes its original pocket clip.
- The Presentation Box: An original blue and white cardboard Scripto Combination Set No. 40 box (Printed in U.S.A.) with its designated cardboard display tray inserts.
- The Erasers: A set of original Scripto No. J 150 replacement erasers with their small black metal attachment clips still intact.
- The Lead Container: A vintage Scripto cardboard sleeve containing 4-inch standard diameter drawing and writing leads.
⚠️ CRITICAL COMPATIBILITY WARNING FOR USERS:
Please note that this is a mixed brand lot. The Wahl-Eversharp pencil and the Scripto accessories are NOT natively compatible:
- The vintage Scripto Leads included in this box are standard .046-inch (1.18mm) diameter.
- Vintage Wahl Eversharp pencils from this specific era were engineered to accept slightly thinner 1.1mm (0.042 to 0.044-inch) leads.
- Do not force the included Scripto leads into the Wahl Eversharp pencil mechanism. Attempting to feed .046 lead into this pencil will likely jam, strip, or permanently damage the internal continuous twist mechanism. If you intend to write with the pencil, you will need to source dedicated vintage or modern 1.1mm lead.
