Vintage metal and plastic circus flashlight from Madison Square Garden, NYC in the 1960's. Metal base and plastic top piece, in very good condition with original red vinyl strap. Very good condition. Battery compartment is clean. I tested it and it does work, with the light bulb lighting up, but I had to play around with it and sometimes it would go on, and sometimes it wouldn't, and then when I closed the top tap, sometimes the light stayed on. The interior is clean with no evidence of previous battery corrosion. Measures 3 1/4" long. Made by Bantam Light Inc. in New York City (marked on underside of case).
If anyone remembers these, they could be bought at Madison Square Garden in New York City (bottom of case on flashlight is marked "MSG"), when the circus came, and you would open the top tab to turn the light on, and then swing them around above your head by the red vinyl strap, most likely smacking someone else in the head, when you did this.
