Vintage 3-blade Premium Stockman pocket knife manufactured by Kutmaster in Utica, New York. This classic American slipjoint carries an excellent utilitarian profile and a robust build, featuring a distinct advertising etch on the master blade reading "ASCOE FELTS" alongside a circular company logo. The main clip point blade proudly features a very crisp, deep, and perfectly legible three-line factory tang stamp: "KUTMASTER / UTICA, N.Y. / U.S.A." Based on the combination of this specific corporate stamping style, the blade profiles, and the handle material, this knife was manufactured during the 1960s to 1970s era. This represents a prominent period of production for Kutmaster's highly reliable everyday carry working knives. The knife features gorgeous, rich dark brown jigged Delrin composition handle scales with warm honey-amber highlights at the ends. The synthetic covers are completely free of any chips or cracks, pinned securely to the solid brass liners with brass pins. A classic unengraved nickel silver crest shield is inset on the presentation side. The nickel silver bolsters remain in excellent structural condition with a bright luster. Mechanically, this knife functions beautifully with three distinct high-carbon steel blades: a master clip point blade measuring 2.5 inches, a sheepsfoot blade, and a pen blade. The blades show an honest, authentic field patina with surface sharpening scrawls and light carbon storage marks, but they maintain excellent full profiles. The brass liners remain straight and clean, and the backsprings offer fantastic, tight snap on both opening and closing with zero blade wobble. There are some light surface marks and pocket scuffing/storage. Please look at the high resolution photos for condition details. Thank you for looking.
